About

In 1992, Sheril & Greg Burkhart faced a turning point when the company they worked for closed its doors. Instead of succumbing to the uncertainty, they chose to start a glass company from their home, driven by a vision of a future that would not only benefit their family but also their community. The Burkhart family, consisting of two young children believed it was possible to balance the responsibilities of parenthood and household management with the demands of entrepreneurship, a belief that continues to guide the company’s direction.

The Burkhart family worked together learning and growing the business. Grateful for all the lessons, especially the tough ones, they used introspection and resources to learn how to provide excellent service. Both children helped in the business any way possible and as the business grew so did the responsibilities. The family’s belief in what was possible and realistic, coupled with their willingness to learn from mistakes and hard work, laid the groundwork for the establishment of a company that values continuous improvement and growth.

This growth has continued through the years of dedication by the family and hopefully, the vision of the Burkhart family continues with the next generation. The community continues to be built one building at a time and the generosity of others in the industry. Since the company’s founding, the Burkhart’s have offered guidance and assistance as needed to their employees and others living locally and want to pay it forward through their legacy plan.

The Legacy’s three pillars are:

  • Helping those in the trades business to learn new skills.

  • Helping individuals and families nurture and grow relations through therapies and programs.

  • Helping to build care and connection between humans and animals
